GI Bill® eligible Veterans who are hired through this initiative, may elect to receive a monthly basic housing allowance from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), which will aid in their transition from military service to becoming a Mercedes-Benz Certified Systems Technician through MB DRIVE. This brings an added benefit to the dealership through additional financial support from the U.S. Government, provided directly to their newly hired Veteran, to promote success during the first year on the job.

The MB DRIVE program provides Veterans with the academic and on-the job training needed to succeed at any Mercedes-Benz dealership, and it is approved for the GI Bill® as a Registered Apprenticeship.

Be honorably discharged or a member of the National Guard or Reserve in good standing;

MB Drive provides an optimal combination of academic instruction and the hands-on training and experience needed to become a successful Mercedes-Benz Certified Systems Technician. It also delivers access to the Mercedes-Benz genuine parts, tools, special equipment, vehicles, and other unique benefits that provide our students with an exceptional learning experience.
MB DRIVE students benefit from a low student to instructor ratio that increases the amount of individualized coaching and assistance each student receives from experts who possess years of Mercedes-Benz product knowledge and technical expertise. The academic curriculum also delivers a comprehensive package of classroom instruction and workshop learning that delivers more than 640 hours of training in just 16 weeks. Those who successfully complete the program of instruction may be given the opportunity to work directly in our Mercedes-Benz dealer network, and they receive assistance with applying for and interviewing with our dealer partners.
Eligible military Veterans also have the opportunity to leverage valuable GI Bill® benefits through the MB Drive Registered Apprenticeship Program, which includes both the academic training, plus an additional eight months of Mercedes-Benz Dealership On the Job Training (OJT) and mentorship. Students approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to receive GI Bill® benefits will receive a monthly VA issued Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) stipend equal to E-5 with Dependents to aid in their transition to becoming a fully competent Mercedes-Benz Certified Systems Technician.
