Community the spirit of giving back

In the community – for the community.  We believe in giving back

The ownership at Mercedes-Benz of Music City understands the importance of supporting our local community and beyond. We believe our success is linked with the growth and vitality of those around us. By lending our time and a helping hand to worthy causes their successes will in turn make us successful. We look forward to great partnerships in Nashville and surrounding communities.

Including the following:

Kevin Carter and his wife Shima have one son, Zion, and they reside in Tampa, FL. In 2002, the couple started The Kevin Carter Foundation, which is an organization created to enrich the lives of children and focuses on youth and character development. Carter created a star-studded event in 2001 in Nashville entitled “Waiting for Wishes” Celebrity Waiter’s Dinner where he, fellow athletes and entertainers have raised over $2 million for his foundation and Make-A-Wish foundation to grant the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses. Carter often quotes his father’s saying, “To whom much is given, much is expected” and admits he tries to live by that today. The Kevin Carter Foundation makes a donation to Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee, the primary beneficiary of “Waiting for Wishes” with the proceeds of the event. Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

HELPING OUR LOCAL CHILDREN Many of the children whose families qualify for “free and assisted lunch programs” cannot afford snacks for school snack time or adequate nutrition on the weekends. The Bridge serves the needs of these elementary school children at nearby schools by providing the school with nutritious snacks to distribute during snack time. In addition, each qualifying child receives a take home pack for the weekend with enough nonperishable goods to supply their nutritional needs.

ALL IT TAKES IS $5 DOLLARS You can help us make sure these children are not going with out food. We can fill a back pack with food for the weekend for as little as $5.00. We would love to see this program in more schools and reach more children for Jesus Christ. Visit our donate page today to see how you can help.

We currently serve over 2300 children every week through the “Bridge To Kids” backpack program.

The Swan Ball was established in 1963 by Nashville native Jane Anderson Dudley as a means of raising funds for the new Tennessee Botanical Gardens and Fine Arts Center at Cheekwood.

Ensworth relies on the generosity of parents, alumni, grandparents and friends to sustain our traditions of excellence. We celebrate a strong culture of philanthropy where everyone contributes to support Ensworth’s mission and vision.
